Application: dan-opc-ec2-rclone-sync
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This privacy policy explains how this privately operated rclone-based Google Drive synchronization utility accesses and handles Google user data. The utility is intended solely for the operator's own use and is not a service offered to the public.
Google data accessed
When explicitly authorized by its operator, the utility uses the Google Drive API to access files, folders, and related metadata available to the authorized Google account. The OAuth scope may grant broad Google Drive access; the operator separately configures which folders are synchronized.
How data is used
Google Drive data is used only to list, read, create, update, and synchronize personal project documentation between Google Drive and a personally managed server. The synchronization utility does not use Google user data for advertising or profiling. After synchronization, the operator may separately use the documents with other tools, including AI-assisted analysis tools, subject to those tools' own access controls and data handling practices.
Storage and security
Synchronized files are stored in the operator's configured Google Drive folders and on the operator's server. OAuth credentials are stored in the server's rclone configuration and are not embedded in this public website. Access to these credentials and local files is managed by the operator.
Sharing and disclosure
The utility does not sell Google user data or disclose it to advertising providers. Files can be accessible to accounts that the operator has deliberately granted access through Google Drive sharing. Data transfers necessary to use the Google Drive API are processed by Google.
Retention and deletion
Files remain in the selected storage locations until changed or deleted by the operator or by configured synchronization rules. The operator may disconnect access by removing the rclone authorization in Google Account settings and may delete synchronized copies independently.
